Question about Leads that some in "via (Direct)"

Hello -Quick question…  We are starting to see leads come into our site.  I was curious about the leads that are via (Direct).  What are the different ways, if any, that a lead would be categorized by this?  It seems to me that people would type in the domain to be considered direct?  But for a young site / company with not much brand presence, it doesn’t seem like someone would do that to find us? Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Why aren't they converting?

Macintosh Hack: Change File Type & Scale Images In One Click

Hey, fellow Caroteers!When I take pictures with my iPhone, I keep the HEIC format the phone natively uses, but practically no web site recognizes this format. This created a problem for me when I needed to use those images to market my listings and contracts on my Carrot Property Page and the MLS. I found myself scaling and preparing images one-by-one, which is monotonous. I tried using websites that perform these functions, but it was still a pain because they could only do a handful of images at a time (for free… I’m cheap...) and it was one function or the other. I couldn’t find a site that does both functions simulataeously.Sooooooo… Being a MacAddict, I did some hunting around and found that Mac has a built in Automator which allows you to automate a slew of tasks! It’s apparently been around for a long time, and it’s super sad that I’m just now catching up, but I wanted to bring this simple hack to you guys and make your lives easier! 504 Gateway Timeout

I was working in Carrot just now when I lost the ability to update. Then, the page wouldn’t reload and I cannot get back into Carrot.com. I get a 504 Gateway Timeout. Is there a problem on my end or is something going on with Carrot?

Google Domain CNAME/Domain Forwarding

Hello, first time posting in here and hoping someone can answer this for me. I’ve been going crazy trying to figure this out. I’ve successfully set up previous carrot websites in the past when my domain was registered with GoDaddy. However, my newest domain was purchased on Google Domains and I’m running into issues setting up the DNS settings and domain forwarding.If I set up the “host name” field as www, “type” field as CNAME and the “data” field as carrot.com, I have no issues. However, as soon as I try to forward the domain (http://) and my domain.com (without a www. in front of it). It makes me delete the CNAME and vice versa. If I create the domain forwarding first, it works fine… but then as soon as I try to create the CNAME afterwards, it makes me delete the domain forwarding that I just completed. Seems as though, there’s no way to do both? I’ve followed Carrot’s google domain setup tutorial but it doesn’t work either due to the “synthetic records” tab not appearing in my Goog

Website margins issue?

My page has an issue with the margins toward the bottom. When editing the page the margins are good and the content looks correct but when I am on the live page the margins are off and the text goes way out to the side in one area. Any ideas on how to correct this?

301 redirect

Hi. We’ve been getting an error 404 when doing a site audit on our website. The page no longer exists since we changed the page title/name. The way to fix the 404 error is to create a 301 redirect to the new page (I’m sorry, I might not be using the right terms here). I found where to set 301 redirect but the question is how are you going to tell the old page to go to the new page? Old URL is https://www.ibuynorthtexashomes.com/sell-your-house-fast-north-texas/ and the new URL is https://www.ibuynorthtexashomes.com/sell-your-house-fast-tx/. These 2 pages are the same, we just changed the page title and updated the page URL to match the new page title.Thank you!

Where to put Niche Clientele pages

Suppose to you have a very specific niche business that provides nursing care, hospice services, and other at-home and on location senior care services and they want to partner with you in efforts to advertise their business offering on your website. I am intrigued by this but#1, this is a very sensitive topic for families that need this type of care (I’ve worked with them which is why I’ve been presented with this question).  #2, if I were to offer this or create a page/content pertaining to this business to attract these homeowners and trusts where would a logical location be within the architecture of the website??? Keep it as a landing page for those specifically looking for this service? Create a specific page and attach to resources section?  As a business owner would you create this in general because some people treat this almost on the political level of acceptability? I don’t want my business to be blacklisted by engaging and creating content around things like hospice or pro
