1- Your name:
Brady Winder
2- Agent, investor, both, or neither?
Technically an investor, but a storyteller & marketer by trade. My wife & I flipped our first home and just finished our 2nd home with me as the GC and us doing 90% of the work, including design.
3- How long have you been in the real estate industry?
4 Years
4- How did you get started?
I got into podcasting through my failed attempt at producing bands in the music industry. Then, this guy named Trevor Mauch said he needed videos for his software company and tossed a camera at me. He taught me 90% of what I know about marketing. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to hone my skills and find my lane in helping people tell their stories, more specifically helping investors & agents formulate & refine their ideas into content that generates leads.
5- Do you have any specialties or favorite types of deals?
nope! But, I love seeing a high-quality flip that an investor is proud of. I’d also love to see more affordable, non-traditional housing like 3-d printed concrete & foam-homes.
6- Are there any books you read that influenced your real estate business and in what way did they influence your business?
1 - The Bible is actually full of nuggets that teach us how to run a business.
2 - Essentialism by Greg McKeown.
3 - How to write copy that sells by Ray Edwards
7- Do you have any routines/regiments you feel necessary to become successful?
An attitude/mindset of servanthood. As far as physical regiments? My parents taught me to “do hard things” and “never give up” so anything under that umbrella that pushes you just past comfort zone on a regular basis. For me it’s usually running.
8- Have you had any coaching you have paid for or continue to pay for that you feel is/was valuable to achieving your success?
I haven’t paid for a coach (yet) since I share an office next to our CEO, but I’m a witness & advocate for the impact that having a consistent mentor has on someone’s growth.
9- Is there anything you are currently doing to continue learning and up level in your business?
Never lose your child-like curiosity.
10- Any podcasts you would recommend that influenced your real estate business?
The CarrotCast - but the host is kinda awkward. Also, EntreLeadership.
