:round_pushpin: Hi Everyone! So great to read all the inspiring stories of successful investors here!  I am on my way to being one of those and would love to hear more stories- the good, bad and ugly! .

  • I’ve always been intrigued by REI and the creative financing part.  My parents had rentals and as kids had to work on them! UGH! But now I see why.  I became a broker back in 2002 and worked short sales, Loss Mitigation, etc and it was near and dear to my heart.  2008 hit -lost hope with the banks and closed up shop. Now back full throttle... but on the investment side of things!😍 :carrot:
  • I experienced the magic of SEO in other industries’ websites and have seen how when you can make the phone ring, it’s king! I want to bring that to my passion here and empower everyone along the way.   :hugging:
  • I’m just in my infancy stage in investing and would love to collaborate, joint venture and see what we could all make happen here.  If I can make my phone ring and get leads to share with everyone, I’d be thrilled!  The stories are incredible and super inspiring for me so thank you everyone from the baby in the family! :hugging:

 

My son just started Kindergarten, so this is the perfect time to start up my biz! I’m so excited to get back out there and start talking to people again! Attack!! (as I always say)  :wink:   My 2 passions since I was young Homes and Health.  I’ve been a medical fitness professional since 1996, recently as a Metabolic Specialist and functional nutritionist.  We don’t have any pets right now, only fish *(that keep having babies...who knew?!?)

  • Live and work in the Beautiful Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee (Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville etc.)
  • After careers in the computer industry and in finance (each for about 8 years) I have been in real estate since 1995.
  • Currently Broker/Owner of a very small real estate company here
  • Looking to make the transition to SEO based marketing
  • Have built a pretty good real estate portfolio for myself but still love flipping homes
  • Eager to learn about other ways to make very difficult transactions work
  • Rescue Dog Lover - Blue often rides with me - Before & After Photos Below:
  • Less than 8 weeks old and only a couple of days away from starvation, in the middle of the winter Blue crawled out from under a dumpster at a flip house that we were rehabbing.
    After a couple of months of love!

    Unlike people, rescues never forget!

THANK YOU for rescuing dogs! One of the sellers I worked with left their blue pit bull tied to the back porch with no food or water and I didn’t find it until 4 days after they moved out. I would have taken them, but they hadn’t eaten and were food aggressive when I brought them food and water, so I had to let Animal Control handle them, unfortunately. 

ALL of our dogs are rescues, and that’s exactly how I’ll acquire them for the rest of my life.

As my oldest daughter was preparing to move from SEA back to Canada in 2020, I wanted to buy a house for her to live in while she got settled (and I have 3 other kids to repatriate as well), and I began looking at how to properly account for expenses in owning a home (repairs, maintenance, capx, etc) and ran across BiggerPockets and had my mind blown by how REI should and could be done. My previous deals had been with other partners and the cashflow was always negative. Ran numbers for about 7 months and found a duplex that would be better than break even and we were able to get that. But the numbers in Canada are not that great for cashflow so I turned my investing attention south to the place of my birth.  :carrot:

    • Just getting started so I can’t say that I’m an expert, but I have focused on SMS lead generation.

  • Hmm, I am a bit new to this whole thing, but I learn extremely fast, I have completed 3 books on how to wholesale in just a few days. I am proud of the previous work I did, I was a strength and conditioning coach for the last 12 years.
  • I am looking to gain some insight on how to really run a business and not just ‘wing it’, so things like business plans, marketing, understanding the online space (I seriously feel like my Dad at times I am so web illiterate). I would love to do joint ventures and partnerships, I really would like to provide value to others if I can. But I am sure that will come with time!
