Company name question: When I chose a name a month ago for my company I didn't realize that it might be a good idea to include "house buyers" in the title. I went with Sentry Real Estate, but looking back I feel like I should have gone with "Veteran Home Buyers" or something like that more related to REI. Any opinions on if it's worth changing it now? I already have the LLC and the webpage built (only been a month) but just trying to get opinions on it.
Depending on what the fee is in TX to start an LLC, it might not be worth changing the domain name since it only has a small impact on SEO anyway.
Considering the site has only been up for a month, changing the domain name now wouldn't be a major issue if he did change it, but the LLC is the only thing that may stop me from changing it. I would imagine he set up the LLC under a Google Business profile which could potentially be a headache to update too.
I hope this helps. I will update with anything new from the team on Monday.
If they haven't already paid for a logo, I would say yes, change it up. It can help with clarity for site visitors, and help with SEO if they choose well.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the question, dude! A couple of thoughts I had:
- “Home Buyers” is another option for the suffix
- I have a sneaking suspicion that “Veteran [everything]” is probably taken. I’m liking Sentry, but I always have to think back to what the client may think. It’s important that they can write your name on a piece of paper from memory and spell it correctly. Sentry sounds like “Century” and can cause brand confusion leading them to finding “Century 21” in a google search.
Also it came up in a Google Search. Not sure if this is you or not, but if it’s not it could cause more brand confusion.

Also, depending on state laws and what’s available you could also do a “Doing Business As” instead of changing the name of your LLC. It’s cheaper and that’s what we did with our business. Our LLC is Property Preservation Project dba Pitt Home Buyers.
Hope this helps!
