Private Messages

Hi Carrot Fam! If you see a number next to your profile picture in the top right corner of your screen, that means you have a private message waiting for you:  Click on your profile picture to view your options:  You can see from the image above that I have 1 Private message out of 252 that is new. Click on the Private messages link to view a list of your Private messages. Click on the Show conversation link to open your Private message: Let me know if you have any questions in a comment below 😃

How to subscribe to topics and categories

Want to be notified by email if a new topic is posted in a particular category? Want to be notified if a new reply is posted to a topic? Subscribing can do that! To subscribe to a particular topic and be emailed when anyone adds a reply, click the Subscribe link at the bottom of the topic:Subscribe to a topic to be emailed for any new replies to this topic. To subscribe to a particular category and be emailed when anyone posts a new topic, click on the Subscribe button in the bottom right of that category page:Subscribe to a category to be emailed for any new topics posted. Let us know if you have any questions!

How to flag or report a post of DM (direct message)

At the bottom of each post you will find an option to flag a post for violating the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use by clicking on the 3 horizontal dots in the bottom right, then clicking on flag:  If you get a DM (direct message) that violates the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use, please send a screenshot of the DM to support@carrot.com with a message letting us know and including the sender’s screen name so we can investigate the sending member’s actions.Let us know if you have any questions regarding what constitutes a ban from the Carrot Community.

Guide to notification emails from the Carrot Community

Community members will receive different emails sent for a variety of reasons including the following:Activate account (unsure if this will work after SSO is enabled) This notification is sent right after the registration form has been submitted. All members must verify the account in order to be able to e.g. leave a reply on the community. The email subject line will be: Carrot Community: activate your account! The email itself will include the member’s username and url link to confirm their Carrot Community account. This notification will only be used for registrations via inSided (and not via SSO like Facebook, Google or your company login)   Welcome to the Carrot Community Once the registration has been completed (either by activation via mail, SSO or manual activation), the user will receive this notification to confirm the activation. How to edit your user profile

Editing your Carrot Community user profile is easy if you follow these steps:1- Look for your user avatar in the top right of the screen and click on your avatar/picture: 2- Select My profile from the dropdown menu. 3- On the next screen, click on the orange Edit profile button: 4- On the next screen you will find where to upload your profile picture plus a bunch more options. Be sure to click on the blue Save changes button when you are done: Reach out if you have any questions!

What constitutes a ban from the Carrot Community?

The Community Guidelines and the Terms of Use are in place to ensure that this is a safe place to share knowledge, learn, collaborate and connect with one another. If a member violates any of these rules, the member will be contacted to let them know that they have violated one or more of the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use and the corresponding content will be removed completely or altered if there is valuable content in the rest of the post. How to post topics (questions, conversations, and ideas aka product feedback)

We are so excited to have you as part of the Carrot Community!There are 3 ways to post a topic in any of the Community categories. 1- The 1st way to to click on the blue + Create topic button in the top right of your screen: 2- The 2nd way is to click on one of the categories below the Welcome to the Carrot Community header, then click the blue + Create topic button in the top right on that category page: 3- The 3rd way is to click on Community in the top navigation menu, then scroll down and click on the category you want to post your new topic in and click the blue + Create topic on that category page: There are 3 types of things you can post: Questions, Conversations, and Ideas: A Question tends to have a solution where an answer can be marked as the best answer.
